(HSAAC). This honor was particularly meaningful as
Bay Path was the only women's college on the list. The
former Secretary of Homeland Security, Jeh C. Johnson,
selected Bay Path because of the work we are doing to
educate women in the fields of cybersecurity, cybersecurity
management, and counter-terrorism at both the graduate
and undergraduate level. I look forward to representing
Bay Path and promoting the inclusion of women in these
critical areas of our national security.
My passion as an advocate for the education of adult
women is also captured in my recent book: Achieving
the Dream: a How-to Guide for Adult Women Seeking
A College Degree. Accompanied by Dr.
Vana Nespor, Vice President for Special
Initiatives, I was a speaker at events in
West Virginia, Florida, as well as our own
backyard in Holyoke, Massachusetts.
My book and its topic figured promi-
nently in the dialogue. Other speaking
events are planned for the future—
stay tuned and visit my blog for updates!

Finally, this issue highlights our inaugu-
ral President's Gala, Dance a Mile in
Their Shoes, held on April 29, 2017, at
GreatHorse in Hampden, Massachusetts.
It was an event successful beyond my
wildest imagination! The spirit of
generosity filled the room, and the
importance and value of our mission was center stage
along with our dancers. It truly was a night of stars.
Enjoy the Bay Pathway and always check out our News
and Events sections on the website, as well as Twitter
