4 Bay Pathway Spring 2017 "To dance is to be out of yourself. Larger, more beautiful, more powerful." Agnes De Mille "I could have danced all night!" "What a memorable evening this has been…I know exactly what I am supporting by being here—Bay Path students." "The spirit of giving is alive in this room…" These sentiments could be heard from many of the more than 300 guests who attended the Inaugural Bay Path President's Gala held at the breathtaking GreatHorse in Hampden, Massachusetts. Throughout the evening, dance was the universal language that brought all guests together to raise money for scholarships for both undergraduate traditional and adult women, and to provide the financial resources so that students can have full and impactful experiences in and out of the classroom. It was a night that felt like Hollywood, complete with the glitter and shine of ball gowns. The evening began on the veranda with a cocktail hour and a Silent Auction of more than 40 items. "On the Edge," a watercolor by renowned artist Doug Brega set in Monhegan Island, Maine, garnered the highest bid, with a Hannoush diamond necklace not far behind. The Silent Auction set the bar high for what would be an evening of uplifting generosity. The gathering then moved inside to the main ballroom where the dance floor was set for the highlight of the Gala, the competition of our three star dancers, alumna Jessica Fraga '05
