Bay Pathway Spring 2017 26 "One of my 'boldest' moments came during my time as a Bay Path student. I had just had my second daughter and it was so hard to leave her to go to school on Saturdays – she was just two weeks old at the time. But I knew that my daughter needed a mother with a college education in order to make both of our lives better. It was such a difficult decision, but I was bold for my children." DEBORAH '13 "I learned some of my 'boldest' lessons at Bay Path. I learned that I am worthy of the very best, and that I deserve the chance to stand up for what I believe in. I wouldn't have learned any of that had I not received a BOLD Scholarship." SARAH '14 "I think the BOLD Scholarship is special because of its focus on empowering women. That means that every BOLD donor – man or woman – cares about seeing young women like me succeed." KATHERINE '13 "Nobody makes it out of my neighborhood – never mind college. I got married, had kids, earned my degree, and now have a good job. Being 'BOLD' is blazing a trail for others to follow." MADELINE '13 In their words (what students, new alumni, and BOLD donors have said) BOLD..."Saved me...Inspired me...Taught me that I am worthy... Showed me that someone cares...Gave me the chance to discover who I want to be...Launched me into a career...Made me want to give back." "I give because I know what it's like to need help. Someone will finish her education, in part, because of me." KENNA '15
