www.baypath.edu 3 In fact, we have set sights on our next vision plan and we are now engaged in broad-based community discussions to develop Vision 2019. The resulting recommendations will contribute to strongly and confidently positioning your University for the future. I look forward to sharing the new vision plan with you when it is finalized. The excitement and energy of challenging ourselves to think and act boldly would not have been possible without drawing upon the good work of countless people: our board, faculty, staff, alumni and, of course, our donors. In this Bay Pathway, " The Year in Review" article high- lights the significant activities and kudos for just the last 12 months. If I might brag, whether it is the Gates Foundation or The Boston Globe, Bay Path is on the national and regional map of recognition. We are doing great things to transform our students' experiences through initiatives like our Women as Empowered Learners and Leaders (WELL) program and the Social Online Universal Learning (SOUL) platform at The American Women's College Online. This was a banner year for national grants as we were awarded over $1,083,850 in support of our students and academic initiatives. And our efforts in the life sciences both at the undergraduate and master's level have resulted in our graduates successfully securing jobs or entering graduate school. This is why we are here— and there can be no greater reward than hearing a student say, "I am doing what I love…" In the coming months, I will continue doing what I love… working with our talented and committed faculty and staff to dream in technicolor. Believe me, the future looks exciting as we experiment with new ways of learning through technology and as we broaden experiential opportunities for our students. Soon, we will be launching our next degree, the Master of Science in Genetic Counseling, as well as our first doctoral program in occupational therapy. Once again, we are bringing world class speakers to Bay Path. This year, the Women's Leadership Conference on April 29th will feature the remarkable Arianna Huffington presenting the closing keynote address. Finally, we will be celebrating the completion of our It Begins Here campaign to support Bay Path students— there is a special section in this Bay Pathway with an update—and we hope you will consider supporting one of our key campaign initiatives. I encourage you to keep up to date with the latest developments at Bay Path through our new website, the e-newsletter Alma Matters, and my Presidential Minutes podcasts that can be found on the website on my page in the "About" section. As always, I look forward to hearing from you and connecting with you at one of our many upcoming events. Mark your calendar now for Alumni Reunion 2016 on October 29th. Carpe Diem! THE FUTURE LOOKS EXCITING AS WE EXPERIMENT WITH NEW WAYS OF LEARNING THROUGH TECHNOLOGY AND BROADEN EXPERIENTIAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR OUR STUDENTS.
