17 "It was my daughter Hayley's goal to major in biology and become a doctor. This scholarship has been established in her memory, and also to recognize an accomplished and talented scientist, Dr. Anabella Villalobos, who is a role model and mentor to young women aspiring to make their marks in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) fields. With this scholarship, we are helping to put them on the pathway to successful careers in the sciences, and ensure that our country has the talent to thrive in an increasingly complex and competitive world." dr. william petit The Petit Family Foundation established the Anabella Villalobos/Petit Family Foundation Scholarship to assist undergraduate science majors who come from Connecticut. Through the Campaign, the Foundation is increasing this endowed fund to $100,000 which will provide scholarship support in perpetuity. Through its generosity, the Foundation will also provide $2,000 annually in direct scholarships during the Campaign. Pictured from left to right at the opening of the Philip H.
