Quinn. "For 45 years, my husband, Dr. John Quinn, had a family practice in East Longmeadow. This was truly his town, and he loved what he did, day after day. He was known as the "community's doctor." Early in his career, John made house calls, served as the school physician, and was there holding office hours for what would be over the decades, generations of families. This beautiful new building and the programs that are taught within its walls, such as the MS in Physician Assistant Studies, reflect his belief in the value of fundamental healthcare and his dedication to the medical profession. He would be proud to see that legacy continue— and in the town that was so much a part of his life." carol soutra Quinn '63 Opened in January 2014, the Philip H. Ryan Health Science Center incorporates the latest in teaching technology, state-of-the-art classrooms and meeting spaces, multiple physician assistant and occupational therapy laboratories, and 10,000 square feet of unfinished space for future programs such as the MS in Genetic Counseling.
