www.baypath.edu Her interest in charitable giving began soon after graduation. Before long, Carrie became actively involved with fundraising, notably for the Chestnut Hill School outside of Boston. After managing events for them, she remembers, "It became clear to me what impact I wanted to make with philanthropy. My passion resides in helping women to be successful." The Burrs have been consistent Bay Path Annual Fund and BOLD donors. (click on www.baypath.edu/boldwomen) They have also recently made contribu- tions to help fund scholarships for the Capitals of the World trip, the Academic Learners and Leaders Initiative, two competitive academic scholarships for undergraduates, and a generous donation to Bay Path's established Educational Enrichment Fund. In 2014, Carrie Burr became a member of Bay Path University's Board of Trustees. Of her contribution to Capitals of the World, she notes, "There is no better way to figure out who you are, and where you fit into the bigger picture, than by travelling overseas. For most Bay Path students, I know it's the first time they have left the country." Carrie credits her alma mater with remarkable foresight over the years: "Every time I come back to visit the campus there's a new program or initiative. There's always something new and exciting happening at the school, and it doesn't stop." The Burrs are proud to see the impact that their charitable donations make.
