The word that described the first-ever gathering on October 24th of adult women alumni
donors to the One-Day Strong Fund was full of emotion: camaraderie. Held at President Leary's
residence, it was a homecoming of sorts for the more than 45 women who attended, with
plenty of hellos, hugs and tears to fill the rooms. When asked why they gave to the
One-Day Strong Fund, their answers weren't about them. They were centered on the women
following in their footsteps who will need a helping hand so they, too, can be independent,
successful and strong. Just like our One-Day alumni.
