26 Bay Pathway Spring/Summer 2019 L E T T E R F R O M T H E A L U M N I A S S O C I A T I O N C O U N C I L P R E S I D E N T Greetings Fellow Alumni! In reflecting upon the second year of serving as your Council President, it has become apparent to me that many of our 16,000 plus alumni may not even know the Council exists, who we are, what our purpose is, and what some of our contributions to the University have been. I am excited that the following pages will help give an overview of the important work the Council is doing on behalf of you, the alumni of Bay Path. I hope it helps you understand the value we provide to alumni, how we support current students, and the overall impact we have on helping the University achieve some of its goals. I have no doubt you will be just as proud as I am, if not even more, of the alumni who have stepped forward to give their time, talent and treasure in an effort to support the University. Most importantly, I hope hearing about these dedicated alumni will inspire you to consider how you are currently fulfilling the alumni pledge we all took when we graduated: As a member of the Bay Path University Alumni Association, I pledge to actively support the University and the Association by promoting Bay Path's proud history, by offering my service to the University and the Association, and by contributing to Bay Path's con- tinued growth and well-being. I promise to be loyal to my alma mater and to my fellow alumni, and to conduct myself in the highest traditions set forth by the University. In closing, I thank you for the privilege of serving as your President, as it has been an immeasurably rewarding experience. I also want to extend my thanks to the staff at Bay Path who work diligently as the Council's partners – without their support, we would not be able to accomplish all that we have already achieved, or pursue everything we plan to in the coming year.
